The homeowners of this new house wanted to take advantage of the many views offered by their property which has water on three sides. The soaring roofline and three story glass façade invites warm south sun, which is, of course, important in snowy Michigan. An attached swimming pool room is covered with curving glass roof panels supported by flying steel buttresses. Interior finishes are planned to be etched concrete, steel, and exposed wood. Structural insulated panels (SIP) and radiant heated floors are planned to help reduce energy costs.
